PLACE
PASTEUR

Gemmayzeh, a historic residential area north of Beirut’s city center, has housed agrarian immigrants since the early 20th century. These newcomers reconstructed their traditional community life in small sandstone buildings. Place Pasteur, located between major arteries connecting northern Lebanon and the city center, faces the challenge of maintaining the district’s character amid the city’s second-highest allowable density. The project aims to balance contextual values with economic opportunities, featuring low-rise sandstone buildings, wood shutters, and a subdued tower. Place Pasteur offers diverse residential units with visual corridors or panoramic views, fostering community through amenities like a clubhouse, gym, indoor pool, and spa facilities.
